Cute Card Thursday ~ Primary Colours

This week on Cute Card Thursday you are to use Primary colours!
I had to do Christmas as I don't have any papers that you could say were primary colours!
Even this is stretching it a bit as I should have had blue and not green, yikes!
Hope you can manage to play along, we have a fabulous prize again this week, the fabulous Kim Reid of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is offering one lucky winner the choice of any 3 of her stamps!
I used my sweet 'Miss Clause' from Sugar Nellie, she reminds me of my eldest so this may be her chrissy card! She used to love drawing Manga images when she was a bit younger so it will be a blast from the past for her!
The papers are the fabulous Basic Grey 'Wassail' still one of my favourite xmas papers.
The merry christmas stamp is Cat's Life Press.
The flowers are prima and the buttons and snowflakes are from packs from Roberts.
Feeling all festive this week, don't know why as it has heated up here again, almost hit the 70's yesterday! Snow forecast for the weekend tho', strange old place this!
Happy Bonfire night to those celebrating in the UK!
Keep safe!

Layers of Color ~ Reindeer waltz

I am so looking forward to Christmas over here, can you tell?
This stands like a card but is actually going to be a table decoration telling everyone what they will eat for Christmas Lunch, not that they need telling as we have had the same Christmas lunch for over 20 years!!!
What can I say, I am a creature of habit!

I have used my fabulous Layers of Color Clear Art Stamp Set 'Reindeer Waltz'. I totally love this set! I am going to use it loads this Christmas. The two reindeer are part of the set but I also used parts of the other reindeer to create the inked border around the edges. I was a bit scared at first but love how it turned out! The antlers make fabulous swirls!
I used Basic Grey papers which give it a very elegant look. I am hoping to make matching place cards as our old ones have seen better days, they are about 10 years old! Love them and won't part with them as they come from my cross stitch days but time for a change I think!
don't forget that Layers of Color are having a release party November 14 -15 with lots of fun things going on plus prizes and free digi giveaways!
See here for more details of the release party!

Whimsy Challenge ~ rounding up love for Jaimie

I made this card to send to Jaimie Cates who recently was the victim of a horrific crime. Whimsy Stamps owner Denise and Erin have arranged a fabulous, humongous blog hop and created a special new blog to encourage us all to send a card to Jaimie to help create some hope and lighten the dark days. Many amazing people have taken part in the blog hop and there are a huge amount of prizes! Although I am sure once you read Jaimie's story you will want to send a card no matter what!

To take part in the hop start here at Katharina's blog.

Here is my card for Jaimie and also for the Whimsy Stamps Challenge which is to create a card for Jaimie!
I used my Whimsy Stamps Fall Raccoons, they are such cheeky chaps they are guaranteed to bring a smile!

Friday Sketchers - Charlotte in monochrome

A quick post tonight, found some time I didn't expect to have as my youngest two have been taken to a Halloween Party and are going to be brought back in an hour! It Halloween crazy here and the kids are having a ball except that they have to keep changing for each event!
Here is my card for Friday Sketchers this week, the sketch is fantastic as ever!
My eldest son asked for a card for a friend (last minute as always) who's birthday is on Halloween! She is into Nightmare before Xmas (wonder if that is anything to do with being born on Halloween)! Thought Kraftin' Kimmies Charlotte would fit the bill in monochrome as she is definitely a bit quirky! I love how she came out! Son is happy with it, job done!
DP is MME and Paper Pizzazz. Gems are Primas and the Halloween sentiment stamp is Cat's Life Press.
The Birthday Sentiment stamp is of course Whimsy from the Sentiments collection. These are the Circle Postmark Sentiments

Cute Card Thursday ~ Midnight Margheritas

Cute Card Thursday
This week on Cute Card Thursday the theme is
Midnight Margheritas
a drink/cocktail theme!
This image immediately sprung to mind! She was sent to me ages ago in an image swap and can't remember who sent it now! I know she is from Stamping Bella!
I decided to make a tag initially then it transformed into a mini card, it is so cute! I think I might have to make more of these, sort of an extension of an ATC but more useful!
The size is approx. 3"by 5" and is the card waste I end up with when I make a square card! I might have to make one of these for every square one!

I used Basic Grey paper scraps I have had leftover from other cards too so kind of a recycled card!
Please drop in and check out the rest of the DT cards, they are amazing!
Have a great day!!

The fabulous sentiment stamp is another of Whimsy sentiments, I love it! The papers are MME and a little Basic Grey.

Cute Card Thursday ~ Candy Corns

Cute Card Thursday
I am late posting again this week....I had to take my driving test today....I passed, Yeh! I was even more nervous than when I took my first one in the UK more than 20 years ago!
The theme this week on CCT is Candy Corns
anything sweet or candy related!
We are at a birthday party this weekend and I thought a nice bottle of wine and some choccy would make a good gift. The apron seems the perfect shape for a bottle, I think I will use this one again!

I like that the tag is seperate and of course my Candy is hidden behind the tag which gives an extra surprise to the recipient!

The stamp is another of Kraftin' Kimmies cuties, this time it is Francesca, I love her expression!

Hope you are inspired to play along with CCT this week, there is a fabulous prize on offer and gorgeous cards and other creations from the Design Team!
**********
I am back at midday tomorrow with the Whimsy Blog Hop, hope you can drop by then!

Whimsy Dog and Sign Bookmark

A very quick post today, it's been one of those weeks!
thanks to those who asked about my son, the good news is he just has to keep his finger in a splint, he won't need a cast and he will only need to go back if there is a problem!

I made this bookmark in record time this afternoon after colouring the image this morning. It is Whimsy Stamps Dog and Sign. I love him, he is such a cutie and so quick to colour! He is also so versatile with that empty stamp. The Whimsy Stamps Ruff Day Sentiments work perfectly with it but today I chose to add some rub-on letters as I love this sentiment on a bookmark!
that is it for today but I will be back tomorrow with my CCT creation and on Friday it is a new Whimsy Stamps Blog Hop to launch the fabulous new stamps, I have to tell you, they are so cute, you will love them. I just finished colouring mine and can't stop looking at it! they are fall and Winter stamps and the Blog Hop has a seasons theme! Make sure you drop by and join in the fun, there will be prizes!

Kraftin' Kimmie's Stamps Challenge - Charlotte

I couldn't resist a couple of these new stamps from Kraftin'Kimmie! This is Charlotte, she is so quirky and unusual! I made this card for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge, the theme is birthdays! The paper is Cosmo Cricket, flower Prima and quote from Inkadinkado 'kids quotes'
Gotta run, spent the afternoon in a clinic with my son after a pe accident at school, we thought he had dislocated his finger but no, it is a fracture!\
\Hope your weekend got off to a better start than mine! \
I will be glad when it is 'wine o'clock'!

Cute Card Thursday - Spook Fest

Here is my card for this weeks

Can't believe how fast Halloween is looming....where did this year go?

Whimsy Stamps Cat and Fish

This is one of the new Whimsy Stamps latest releases, from the Animals Collection, it is called Whimsy Cat and Fish.

It is such a naughty looking cat, still very cute though! He makes me giggle!

I am entering this card for the Whimsy Stamps Challenge which this week is punches and die cuts. I did struggle as I decided this was a male card so didn't want to add any flowers or leaves so went for a nestie frame cut around the image.

I found this great paper on saturday in Robert's, it is The Paper Company and it is called Paws and Claws Cat Toys! It was so perfect for this stamp!
The other papers are Stampin' Up and were a great match. The sentiment is a rub-on, the tiny cute star buttons are Dress It Up and the gems are Prima.

Whimsy Challenge Summer Day Emma

Here is the very adorable Summer Day Emma from Whimsy Kids Collection.
I knew as soon as I saw the sneak peeks of her she would be a delight to colour and I wasn't disappointed! Again I used one of the sentiment stamps from the Whimsy Sentiment Collection Circle Postmark Sentiments. These fabulous new stamps were released this week and are available to purchase here!

This is my card for this week's Whimsy Stamps Challenge which is Sugar and Spice/Frogs and Snails or make a girl or boy card! Well, I would say this is a very girly card!
You might recognise the sketch from the Basic Grey Challenge, I followed it very carefully then realised I hadn't used any Basic Grey.....duhhhh! Oh well, maybe next time!
This must the first card I made in a long time that didn't have some BG on it!
Papers are Crate from the Mia Collection, the flowers and pearls are Prima and of course all stamps are Whimsy!
Have a great weekend!

Whimsy Stamps Pet Friends

Just have to show you some of the newly released Whimsy Stamps! Mine arrived yesterday and I couldn't wait to play with them!

The circular sentiment stamp is also from Whimsy from the Sentiments Collection, they are fantastic sentiment stamps! This one is perfect for teen cards (this one is for my son's friend) as reminds me of text type!

The little paw prints are also Whimsy Stamps from the Whimsy Sentiments Collection ~ Ruff Day Sentiments. They are so cute!

The papers I used are Crate Paper from the Mia Collection, the buttons are Basic Grey.

Thank you to everyone who played along in the Whimsy Blog Hop!

The winner of the Blog Hop Candy was Rachael Doxsee (aka Queen La Rubba)

congratulations Rachael, hope you enjoy your new Pet Stamps!
***********************
I am off to clear up an enormous mess, the little ones thought it would be fun to empty out every single box which contained their toys into my daughter's bedroom and then cut windows and doors into every box they emptied to create a huge cardboard house/building....very creative I must say, just not to good at tidying up afterwards!
have a great evening!

CCT, Friday Sketcher & just Magnolia

Originally for the Cute Card Thursday challenge this week which is So Charming...to use charms, I followed the Friday Sketcher's sketch #72 and also made the handmade flower to enter the Just Magnolia challenge. I am not finding time to enter all individually so when needs must.....

Denise has been so kind to me while I was without all my stash and sent me some sweet images last week, this one was included, I hadn't realised how much I missed my Magnolias!
Michelle showed a fabulous handmade flower tutorial over on Just Magnolia, I was so pleased with how this turned out, even though it was made using different flower punches than the tute!

The papers are BG (what else did you expect?) Lemonade (scrumptious), the Tilda stamp is of course Magnolia, the Autumn Day stamp is Cat's Life Press (so impressed with their direct service!) Did I tell ya I love living here! The charms are some I have had an age, can't remember where I got them, love being reunited with them though!

CCT ~ Pinch and a Punch

This week on Cute Card Thursday the theme is 'A Pinch and a Punch'! Nothing to do with fighting but more the first of something to celebrate the 1st of the month!
I made this card with another of the My Mind's Eye paper kits, it is so cute and this card came together so quickly. I was pushed for time all week trying to finish some decorating and today we finally got all our shipped belongings!

We seem to have gone from summer to winter in a couple of days here, the kids were in the pool after school on tuesday and on wednesday they were playing in the snow! I did think it was rather convenient that we had snow on the trees as a backdrop for the christmas card!
hope you are having a warmer end to the week than I am!
I will be back on sunday with the Whimsy Blog hop, don't forget to tune in and see the supercute new releases! You are going to love them, they are the best yet!

I did hear this morning that they are going to deliver our shipped container on thursday!!!! can't wait, and the craft room is almost finished, that brown paint took a lot of covering!¬Can't wait to unpack and be reunited with all my crafty stash!
You can see a fabulous distressing tutorial over on Whimsy Stamps Monthly

ICS Haunted Halloween

This cute paper kit by My Mind's Eye arrived yesterday in the mail and I couldn't resist having a play last night. Everything on here was in the kit, apart from the basic cardstock and the stamps I used on the inside which are Clear Art Stamps.

I used the sketch from this weeks Inspirational Card Sketches #35. I have been wanting to play along for a while now, so glad I got the chance this week!
I made this cute little matching bag of candy with some leftover scraps and tiny clear bags. The M and Ms are special halloween ones which matched the paper perfectly!

I bought the huge butternut squash this morning, I couldn't believe the assorted squash you can get here, can't wait for Halloween to decorate the porch and stairs with all different squashes!

A couple of people asked if my stash had arrived yet, well, the boat is due to dock today so fingers crossed for an early clearance of customs and delivery, don't think it will be here much before next friday going off our air freight delivery but you never know!
I am painting my craft room this weekend ready for the arrival so I can put everything away asap!
Have a great weekend!

This week on Cute Card Thursday the theme is Buzz off!

I don't have anything black with me just now but did use my Whimsy Stamps accessories set to create my new address/we moved cards!
Mass production so had to keep it simple, but I like the look.
Whimsy are releasing their new stamps soon, some fabulous pet stamps which were available for pre order a little while back and 2 super cute new kids stamps. All will be revealed in a blog hop next friday! Be sure to tune in, there will be candy involved!

Whimsy Stamps Challenge~buttons

The Whimsy Stamps Giraffe is such a perfect shape and size for a bookmark and my daughter is badly in need of one. In fact all the kids are, they are reading loads more since our move here..a very good thing! I decided as I went along that this is looking more boyish now so I will make some more, one for each of them and this will be for one of the boys!
The Whimsy Stamps Challenge this week is to use buttons! I had to keep them small on here so the book will still close!

This quote is from an Inkadinkado stamp set 'kid quotes', all the quotes are so cute, you will see more of them here very soon!

Couldn't resist showing you my latest craft room find, we bought this at the weekend at a Consignment store. I have had my eye on it for a few weeks and it was reduced when we went in on saturday so we had to have it! Can't wait to fill all those drawers with crafty goodies!
Whimsy Stamps have a cute digi image for sale to raise funds for Paige a 13year old girl involved in a boating accident who has since has part of her arm amputated. You can send Paige a card and register with Erin for tons of blog candy for doing so!

CCT ~ Hidden Treasure

Hidden treasure
Love the theme on CCT this week! I have seen some fantastic cards already today! I am way behind with my posting today as it is already evening in the UK! I blame it on this time difference mallarkey! Of course I did have a browse around a lot of shops this morning so that might have something to do with it too!

I spotted this project on Michelle Wooderson's blog the other day and knew it would be the perfect gift for a friend who has helped me out here! It was so quick to put together too!
I used rub-ons for the front of the mug (this means it has to be handwashed)!
My proper crafty stash hasn't arrived yet so I still have no die cutters or punches so I borrowed my son's compass and drew 3 circles and hand cut them. Then I roughed up the edges to disguise the imperfections!
I used my rub-on lollipop stick and covered it with paper! Luckily, I have my embossing tool so can still use my rub-ons!
I had this SU hodgepodge hardware in my essentials box luckily!
The papers are Basic Grey 'June Bug' and Cosmo Cricket
My hidden treasure inside the mug!

The Stamp Something challenge this week was to use your favourite embellishments. I have lots of favourites, infact embellishments are my favourite part of any card but if I am forced to choose, and I am, I would say metal charms. I have added a few to my Alligator Purse Memory holder.
I used the very cute Whimsy Alligator to my holder, he is such a dream to colour.
The Whimsy Website has been revamped and looks amazing!
You can see the new release of Pet stamps which are available to preorder as a set at a great low price!

We found a few other things but not crafting related so I will spare you, love Yard Saleing, we go out super early get our brekkie from Starbucks and off we go! I even got a pair of skis this week.....that was bittersweet though as that will use up some of my precious craft time!*!*!
